Sofija Jovanović je bila žena vojnik koja je učestvovala u Prvom svetskom ratu i Balkanskim ratovima.

Priča Sofije Jovanović je slična onoj Milunke Savić, pošto se i Sofija pod lažnim, muškim pseudonimom prijavila u vojsku. Vojsci se pridružuje kao Sofronije Jovanović. Preživela je oba rata u kojima je učestvovala, ali je na kraju ostala invalid. Učestvovala je u oslobađanju Beograda 1918. godine.

Sofija je učestvovala u povlačenju srpske vojske preko Albanije 1915/1916. Nakon rata je odlikovana sa čak 13 medalja za hrabrost.

Sofija Jovanović was female warrior who participated in WWI and the Balkan Wars.

Sofija’s life story is similar to the one of Milunka Savić, since Sofija joined the army under fake, male name Sofronije Jovanović. She survived both wars that she participated in, but remained disabled. Sofija was part of the liberation of Belgrade in 1918.

She participated in the famous retreat through Albania with Serbian army in 1915/1916. After the was she was honoured with 13 medals for bravery.
